Hi Zhentian - tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you and what do you do for fun?

My name is Zhentian Wan. I am Chinese, currently working in Finland.

I like travelling, sports and learning new stuff.

What do you do for a living and how long have you been in this industry?

My current job is as a full-stack developer at Tecnotree Oy, Finland - using languages like AngularJS, Node and Express.js. This is my second year as a developer.

What brought you to egghead in the first place?

Two years ago, I had just graduated from university and I wanted learn some of the latest technologies to help me find a job.

I chose egghead because it has lots of free content about AngularJS and Node.js. Since I was able to learn so much from each video lesson (even the free stuff), I decided to subscribe to egghead’s annual plan.

What are some big successes you’ve had recently?

I have followed along with egghead for almost two years and have watched almost all of the AngularJS and NodeJS related videos.

And I applied what I have learned into my work - first to get a job and now to lead front-end development in our projects.

I was also able to write an open source library for production use (angular-md-table). I’m thrilled with all that I’m achieving in just my second year of my career - thanks egghead!

What are you most excited about for your career in 2016?

In 2016, I want to do more projects related to Angular2, ngrx & Progressive web apps.

I recently gave a presentation about RxJS to my company and am currently preparing for a talk about PWA. Continuing to learn keeps work interesting, and learning from egghead is fun.
